MAMAMOO, Kim Jae Hwan, and fromis_9 announced that they have cancelled their appearances at the upcoming '2019 K-Asian Festival'. The cancellation came after it was revealed that the attendees will have to pay for tickets; their labels revealed that the artists believed that it would be a free event for the public and withdrew from the festival, claiming that the festival violated their contract.

On August 13th, representatives of the festival gave their response to their cancellation: "The August 25th concert will continue as planned. Unfortunately, MAMAMOO, Kim Jae Hwan, and fromis_9 will not be attending due to organizational errors. As the organizers of a large-scale event, we apologize for causing problems from our negligence. We promise to take full responsibility for those who wish to cancel by refunding their tickets. The event will continue with the remaining lineup of artists with new additions. We will begin refunds for tickets, starting August 16th."
