Jung Eun Ji and her partner Kim Dae Su were third in the list of performances to sing on MBC’s Lunar New Year special for “Duet Music Festival”, which was broadcast on February 8th. Kim Dae Su was personally selected by Jung Eun Ji to be her duet partner. He said, “I haven’t found my dream yet. I happened to apply by chance, and it’s really an honor.”
The two performed Yoon Do Hyun Band’s song “I Am a Butterfly”, with Kim Dae Su and Jung Eun Ji showing off some awesome teamwork. The mood begins to slowly shift in the middle of the track, and the two continue to sing with confidence, drawing in the audience with their vocal talent. The lyrics sing about Kim Dae Su’s situation where he had to give up his dreams in order to make a living, which only added to the emotion of the track.
At the end, Jung Eun Ji and Kim Dae Su earned a total of 462 points, and they managed to overtake MAMAMOO’s Wheein and her partner who were leading with 453 points. Although the competition isn’t over yet, they definitely have made their mark on the top spots.
