orphanage in Seoul, his publicist said Monday. Jang and his fan club Cri-J made tteokbokki, a Korean snack food made with rice cake, fish cake and red chili sauce, and kimbap, a Korean-style roll, for children at Namsanwon for lunch on Saturday, Ytree Company said.
Cri-J donated 15 million won (US$12,700) made from an exhibit of Jang's photos last August, and Jang added another 10 million won to the contribution. "I wanted to meet the children after seeing their letters to me displayed at the photo exhibit," Jang was quoted as saying. "It was extra meaningful to volunteer with my fans, and I had a wonderful time with the children. I hope to stay in close touch with them." Cri-J has volunteered at the orphanage every two months for four years since 2012. This is the first time Jang joined his fans there.
