Actress Sung Hyun Ah Charged as Guilty for Prostitution

Actress and Miss Korea Pageant contestant Sung Hyun Ah has been charged and found guilty of prostitution. The final trial was held on August 8th, and was attended only by the actress' legal representative team. The panel of judges stated, “The charge regarding Sung Hyun Ah’s sexual relations with witness B upon introduction by witness A has been proven,” and the actress was fined for 2 million won (approx. $1900 USD).
Between February and March of 2010 and December of 2013, Sung Hyun Ah had met and had sexual relations with a businessman in exchange for money in a total of three instances. She received 50 million won (approx. $48,000 USD) for her efforts. The actress was prosecuted and found guilty, and slapped with a fine. The actress stated that the ruling was unfair, and requested that she have a formal trial. After a total of five trials which started in March 2014 and lasted until June 2014, the actress was fined 2 million won.
Sung Hyun Ah was the winner of the third place position in the 1994 Miss Korea Pageant. She started her acting career shortly after, appearing in dramas "Yi San", "Ja Myung Go", and even feature length films such as "The Scarlet Letter" and "Cello".
