The sibling duo known as Akdong Musician recently released their comeback album ‘AKMU Puberty’. The pair sat down for an interview where they share on the upcoming 2nd half of their album as well as share about life growing up in Mongolia. The 1st half of 'AKMU Puberty', with dual title tracks "How People Move" and "RE-BYE", has been doing exceptionally well on music charts.
About the 2nd half of 'AKMU Puberty', Chanhyuk revealed, "The 2nd half of 'AKMU Puberty' was mostly finished too. We plan on taking the feedback from the 1st half and using it to make adjustments to the 2nd half. But overall, the theme will not change. If we were to give another hint, the upcoming 2nd half will contain ballads." Suhyun added, "It will come out by the end of this year."
They continued by sharing on details of growing up in Mongolia. Chanhyuk shared, My situation was the worst in Mongolia. I couldn't eat well, and I even blamed my father for it. On the contrary, Suhyun is able to enjoy it doing what she wants, so I don't think she experienced any negative effects. She was very sensitive when she was on a diet though."
Suhyun shared, "Oppa was always in opposition with our dad. He didn't speak up when something wasn't right on his mind, so then my dad automatically assumed that he was just being rebellious. Oppa and dad often clashed, and I was in the middle to calm them down. Fortunately, we are a very very happy family now."
Akdong Musician is a South Korean duo debuted under YG Entertainment, consisting of siblings Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Suhyun. They won the second installment of the K-pop Star series. Songs from the group's 2014 debut album Play have more than 6.1 million total downloads.
