An art installation depicting swans will be floated on Seokchon Lake in eastern Seoul from April 1 to May 8. "Seven swan-shaped installations created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman will be floated on Seokchon Lake to coincide with the grand opening of the 123-story Lotte World Tower, Korea's tallest building, on April 3. They were designed in various sizes to depict baby swans and adult swans," a Lotte spokesman said Tuesday.
"The adult swans [are touching each other] creating a heart shaped form," Hofman said. Lotte earlier had similar displays of giant conceptual artworks depicting a rubber duck, a super moon, and pandas, drawing a flock of visitors to the lake.
More than 30,000 fireworks will be lit on the eve of the building's opening.
