AOA Chanmi and BTOB Eunkwang Will Appear on “National Idol Distant Relatives Singing Contest”

Are you ready to check out some of K-pop’s more unique shows? KBS 2TV has just announced that they will be launching a very special variety show pilot to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and it’s titled “National Idol Distant Relatives Singing Contest”! A few broadcast representatives commented on January 13th that idols would be making an appearance on the show with either family members or close friends, and the idols have just been named!


BTOB’s Eunkwang will be making an appearance alongside his younger brother, and Kangnam is currently discussing whether or not he will be making an appearance with his three aunts who have already made a feature in “I Live Alone”. Not only that, AOA’s Chanmi will also appear with her mother who is also appearing on “Great Inheritance”. SONAMOO’s Euijin will be joined by her parents as well.


Andy will prep a stage for his “agency sons” UP10TION, while VIXX’s Ken and his manager and staff member will be forming a trio act. BTS’ Rap Monster is also currently in talks to be on the show with his friend. It looks like it’ll be a fun show where you’ll see all your favorite idols with their own friends and family!


The judges will be Kim Young Chul, Kim Sook, and Song Eun Yi on January 17th, and Kim Young Chul, Kim Jong Min, Leeteuk, Eun Ji Won, Seol Oon Do, and Park Sung Kwang on January 23rd
