Asiana Airlines will launch its second low-cost carrier, Air Seoul, which will fly to Japan and other East Asian countries starting early next year. The launch will bring the total number of budget carriers here to six, including Asiana’s Air Busan.
Budget carriers took up 54 percent of domestic routes in the first half of this year, outperforming their bigger rivals, and accounted for over 13 percent of overseas routes.
