Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has been nominated to chair the International Olympic Committee's Ethics Commission. The proposal by the IOC Executive Board will be put to the vote at the IOC session in Lima, Peru in September, its website said Wednesday.
Ban would be the second Korean to head an IOC commission after Kim Un-yong, the former vice president of the body. The Ethics Commission was created in 1999 after Salt Lake City bribed an IOC official to bring the 2002 Winter Olympic Games there.
