Employees of MBC and KBS have been on strike since September 4 and several weekly broadcasts have been affected. MBC's Wednesday - Thursday drama "Hospital Ship" halted airing on September 6 mid-broadcast and an informative broadcast on emergency procedures was shown for 10 minutes.
The informative broadcast about emergency preparedness in regards to natural causes aired between episodes 5 and 6.
Episode 6 aired after the broadcast after an additional 2 minutes of advertisements. MBC gave a statement, "Due to certain circumstances, the drama is being delayed."
Though insider reports say that the general strike means that there weren't enough employees to finish episode 6 and that MBC had to outsource help to finish the project.
At the moment, it's unsure if the show will air during its scheduled time slot on September 7. Another MBC show, "Radio Star," has started their hiatus and a special episode will be aired in the time slot.
