BigBang
Global K-pop boy band, BigBang hosted a V show on Friday at its 10th anniversary celebration exhibition, “BigBang10 The Exhibition: ‘A to Z’,” in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. All members gathered in a room to discuss their exhibition, and Seungri, the youngest member of the group, took up the role of show host and led the discussion.

Member Daesung explained that the exhibition was named “A to Z” because “all the alphabetical letters were used to describe the group in the exhibition.”

“We wanted to shared our history as K-pop artists with the fans, so all the members took part in creating the display,” Taeyang added. Seungri mentioned rapper T.O.P, as the member who put the most effort in preparing for the exhibition, and asked him the reason why he did so despite the tight schedule.

T.O.P said, “I really wanted to create a space where our group and the fans could communicate as much as possible.” Taeyang explained about a display room called, “Love Room,” where the members put up a photo of a wall where the fans used to scribble supportive words for the Big Bang members at the time of their debut. “I think that wall is a representative feature of our communication with fans,” G-Dragon added.

The members moved to a different room where there was a large canvas with an unrecognizable painting. T.O.P described it as an abstract portrayal of all five members.

“Are you going to put this up for auction?” Seungri asked, sarcastically.
T.O.P replied in mock surprise, “This? Would you sell this?”

Girls’ Generation
Girls’ Generation held a V show on Friday, celebrating the ninth anniversary of its debut.

The girls started off the show by singing a happy birthday song, and explained that it was Girls’ Generation’s ninth birthday. The members took turns holding the microphone and talked about how they felt. Yoona said, “I always used to think how impressive our seniors were at their 10th anniversaries, but it is unbelievable that we have now reached that point as well.”

Taeyeon spoke about one of her fans at her concert, “There was one girl who told that she was our fan since elementary school, but now she is an adult,” and was surprised by how quickly the time went. “Next year would be our 10th year since the debut, I can’t believe it. I hope we can build up more good memories in the future,” Yuri said.

Sooyoung made Taeyeon and Tiffany touched by saying how teary she had become when she watched their solo concerts.
“It felt different to be an audience of my own team member’s show, and I felt grateful for our fans who have been supporting us for so long.”

The girl group debuted on Aug. 5, 2007 with their first song, “Into the New World.”

MonstaX
K-pop boy band MonstaX released a teaser clip for its song “Stuck” on Naver’s V channel on Friday.

A 30-second-long clip had a deserted, old concrete building as a backdrop. The building seemed like a parking space, but there were concrete particles falling of the wall, graffiti, and left-over bottles thrown on the floor. The members wore black long-sleeved shirts and black ripped trousers.

They also had accessories on such as silver necklaces, black rings and earrings. Even though there was only a slight peek of their choreography, it was apparently powerful and loud. The group will be promoting its track, “Stuck” in August. Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
