Blossoming romance in ‘Doctors’

Romance is in the air among characters in the SBS TV drama “Doctors,” which has entered into its third week. In the series’ fifth episode broadcast on Monday, the lead male character Hong Ji-hong (Kim Rae-won) cleared up a misunderstanding with fellow doctor Yoo Hye-jeong (Park Shin-hye) over whether he was married.
While having coffee, Hong said to Yoo, “Can you not tell that the look in my eyes when I see you is the look of a man who has finally found the woman of his dreams?” He also said to her, “I know you like to do everything on your own. But you need to accept that sometimes even you need protection.”
Meanwhile, another female doctor Jin Seo-woo (Lee Sung-kyung) confessed her romantic feelings to fellow doctor Jeong Yoon-do (Yoon Kyun-sang). However, Jeong rejected her and showed interest toward Yoo instead.
Jin said, “Why do you always have to go for girls with a ‘sob’ history? Why not me, I’m bright, smart, from a good family and pretty.” Her words may seem blunt, but her facial expressions and gestures showed that she had not taken the rejection to heart and was not being hostile toward Yoo. The 20-episode TV drama “Doctors” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on the channel SBS. Tuesday’s show will be the sixth episode.
