T-ARA to hold final concert before disbandment, Boram and Soyeon will not participate

From May 12th to May 14th, T-ARA will be holding concerts in Taiwan at the National Taipei University gymnasium. Although this is their first concert in the country since the girl group's debut nine years ago, it will also be their last as six members.
Boram and Soyeon's contract with MBK Entertainment is coming to end on May 15th, and it seems the ladies saw that as an opportunity to not participate in their own concerts.
The label stated there will not be any contract renewal for Boram and Soyeon, and that the two members will not be participating in T-ARA's last album before disbandment. Four remaining members Jiyeon, Qri, Hyomin, and Eunjung will rerecord their last album for a June release.
Fortunately for fans in Taiwan, all six members will be participating in T-ARA's first concert there. However, latest reports indicate that the two members will be absent from Hong Kong and Japan concerts on May 20th and 24th.
To Sports Chosun, a rep from MBK Entertainment expressed disappointment and frustration on the absences, and said, "Boram and Soyeon notified us about their absence. It is a schedule that's set on the date after their contract termination, but it has been planned several months ahead. It is unmannerly of them to unilaterally not attend. It's an act that breaks the promise with the agency as well as with fans."
He continued, "We wish the best for the future of Soyeon and Boram who have promoted with T-ARA for the past nine years. It is unfortunate how things are coming to an end like this. Now with their absence even event planners overseas and the agency are going to face severe damage. More than anything, it is an irresponsible act that breaks the promise with international fans who have waited for T-ARA's last promotion."
