BTS is definitely catching a lot of attention! It was reported on September 19th that BTS was scheduled to perform and give a 3-minute speech at the '73rd Assembly of the United Nations'! This marks as the first time that a K-Pop group has been invited to the event. They will be attending the ceremonial event for 'Generation Unlimited', a new UNICEF global partnership for teens and young adults (ages 10-24).
Some of the high authority figures that will be attending the event are Secretary General of the UN Antonio Guterres, Executive Director of UNICEF Henrietta Fore, the First Lady of South Korea Kim Jung Sook, and more!
With BTS actively promoting as the ambassador of UNICEF's 'Love Yourself' campaign for the past 2 years, it seems fitting that they're the ones to be attending the event.
The '73rd General Assembly of the United Nations' will be taking place at the United Nations headquarters in New York on September 24th.
