The President of South Korea, Park Geun-hye , met with Belgians’ Prime Minister Ello Di Rupo in Brussels, to discuss a matter of multiple items on hand. The two were set to discuss trade, investment, and collaboration in the scientific research and development. It was said that investments totaling W400 billion ($1=W1,061) came from Italy’s Versalis, Franche’s LFB, Germany’s BASF, and Belgians Solvay.
The Belgian King, Philippe, hosted an event at Laeken Palace that Park attended. This trip would tally her 3rd visit to Belgium, coming in only 1 behind the number of visits the Belgian King has in Korea. Park had met Philippe’s Father, King Albert II, in his trip to Korea back in 1978, following Park’s mother’s assassination.
Wednesday, on a trip to Guildhall London, Park has a little difficulty stepping outside of the Bentley she was arriving in, as she stepped on her traditional Korean handbook while getting out. Although the mayor and his wife ran to assist Park, she was able to get up by herself and joke, “Dramatic Entry.” At the end of the night while saying goodbye to Lord Mayor, Park promised to make a “quiet exit” on her way out.
