Chinese Tourism Still on Rise

The continued growth in the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Korea is having an impact on the country's economy. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, more than 6.1 million Chinese visited last year, a jump of more than 41 percent from 2013.
Chinese visitors spent an average of US$2,700 during their stay, bringing in a total of about $16.5 billion -- equivalent in value to almost 700,000 vehicle exports.
