Chloe Kim wins gold in halfpipe at the Pyeongchang Olympics Games

Chloe Kim is now a 17-year-old from Torrance, California with an Olympic gold medal! Kim dominated the Olympic women's halfpipe snowboarding final on Tuesday, earning a gold medal that was four years in the making. Kim put up a score of 93.75 on the first of her three runs in the final and then improved with an almost perfect score of 98.25 on her final run with the gold already won. Kim's family, including her South Korean grandmother, were cheering her on in the stands as Kim put on a show that delivered on her immense pre-Olympic hype.
Liu Jiayu put up a score of 89.75 and took silver to become the first Chinese snowboarder to medal at the Olympics.
American Arielle Gold, beat out teammate and three-time Olympic medalist Kelly Clark for bronze.
