The first generation K-pop duo Clon sat down with KBS2’s ‘Entertainment Weekly’, and decided to talk about the motorcycle accident in 2000 that left member Kang Won Rae paralyzed from the waist down. He shared, ‘During the interview back then, I remember being asked the question, 'How do you feel about living as a handicapped individual from now on?' So I anwered, 'It's okay. After all, I'm the one who sang the song 'Kung Ddari Sha Bah Rah'. But then after saying that, I turned around as tears streamed down my face.’
Koo Jun Yup, the other half of Clon, shared ‘I've realized one thing after the accident. Kang Won Rae isn't the type who expresses his feelings outwardly. I heard that when he was in the ICU, he kept looking for me and Song (Kang Won Rae's wife), and that made me cry.’ Clon recently made their return to celebrate their 20th anniversary since making their debut with their special album ‘We Are’.
