Consumer sentiment in Korea is among the lowest in the world despite a record trade surplus and booming exports.  A survey of 30,000 shoppers by market tracker Nielsen shows Korea ranked 57th out of 60 countries in terms of how much consumers were willing to spend from July to September.  Italy, Croatia and Serbia were the only countries lower than Korea in the survey. India topped the list, followed by Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
