Culture Hub LA to Hold Pop Vocal Training & Audition Workshop Saturday October 14

In collaboration with Seoul Institute of the Arts and Korea, CultureHub LA offers a 6 week course in exploring the human voice by learning how to sing your favorite Pop & KPop songs! You DO NOT need to be Korean or fluent in the langague! All ages are welcome!

Learn the fundamentals of proper vocal techniques, focusing on breath support and placement. Each participant will sing two songs at each lesson, one KPop and one American Pop, to show and demonstrate the origin of style and song structure, and where proper technique can also be demonstrated and critiqued.

The last few weeks will be dedicated to singing and practicing your song of choice for a video demo incorporating video and stage presence. Participants will receive a chance to be auditioned locally and by Seoul Institute of the Arts faculty.

The classes will be in session from Saturday, October 14th - November 18th, 2017 weekly @ 10am-noon.

Pre-workshop audition will take place on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the CultureHub LA studio, located at 1933 S Broadway, suite 1128, Los Angeles, 90007. If you cannot attend, please send your audition video link (YouTube or Vimeo) to lainfo@culturehub.org by October 10.

Ann One is a Korean-American soul singer/songwriter/producer from Los Angeles, with two critically acclaimed albums in Korea. Her songs have become standards at auditions for vocal majors at universities, as well for national TV shows such as "The Voice Korea", and "Kpop Star"', where it was the most used song for auditions in 2016. She has worked with Anderson .Paak on his albums, "Malibu", "Venice", and "NxWorries", Chops of the Mountain Brothers for "Strength In Numbers", and has produced songs for Drunken Tiger JK and his wife Yoonmiraeone of which won the Korean Grammy for the Best R&B song of 2008. She has held a teaching position at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles for the past five years. Ann One is currently working on her album slated to be released under Feel Good Music in 2017.
