Daesang Heiress to Marry American Investment Banker

Lim Sang-min, the second daughter of Daesang Group founder Lim Chang-wook, will marry U.S. investment banker Eugene Cook. A Daesang spokesman said the wedding will take place on Dec. 28 and the couple will live in New York, where the groom works. Cook (30) did his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago and has an MBA from Harvard. He now works at the headquarters of the world's largest hedge fund Blackstone Group.
Lim (35) is the largest shareholder of Daesang with 36.71 percent of shares in the group’s holding company. She graduated in history from Ewha Womans University and has a postgraduate qualification from the London Business School. She joined Daesang in 2009.
