Disbanded Wonder Girls Member Sunmi Shares Message for Fans

The news of the k pop girl group Wonder Girls disbanding sent shockwaves through the hallyu world. Sunmi has taken to social media to share with fans thoughts on their disbandment. She wrote on her Instagram on January 26, "I apologize for deliver news like this all the time, without any prior notice. I was so happy and honored to be a part of Wonder Girls for the past 10 years. For now, nothing I say will be able to comfort your hearts, but I would like to remain a warm and good trace in your memories, 10 or 20 years from now. To Wonderful, whom I was always proud of, thank you and I'm sorry."
Wonder Girls will be releasing their last digital single this February 10, on their 10th anniversary. Wonder Girls was a South Korean girl group and band formed by producer Park Jin-young under JYP Entertainment in 2006, which debuted in 2007. The group's final line-up consisted of Yubin, Yeeun, Sunmi and Hyerim. Members Sunye and Sohee officially left the group in 2015, while Hyuna left in late 2007. They were co-managed in the United States by Creative Artists Agency.
Lee Sunmi, better known mononymously Sunmi or Mimi, is a South Korean singer. She was best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Wonder Girls. In August 2013, Sunmi making her debut as a solo artist with releasing digital single 24 Hours.
