The 16-episode drama series of SBS “Entertainers” will have two more episodes, the broadcaster confirmed Thursday. “As the story of a newly formed band unfolds, we have seen growing interest from viewers,” a source from SBS told local news outlet Asia Today.
The Wednesday episode of “Entertainers,” starring actor Ji Sung and Hyeri of Girl’s Day, showed the new band, led by Ha-neul (Kang Min-hyuk) performing its debut stage in a music TV program.
However, speculations are growing as the next drama “Wanted” has withdrawn its plan to cast actor Jin Goo and actress Kim Hyun-joo in main roles. With the extension, “Wanted” is likely to premiere its first episode on June 22, a week later than the previously scheduled date.
The viewer ratings for the seventh episode Wednesday reached 7.8 percent, 1.6 percent behind that of MBC’s “Good Bye, Mr. Black.”
“Entertainers” is aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 p.m. The finale episode will be aired June 16.
