Yoo Eun Hye recently has come under fire and controversy due to her allegedly having plagiarized her fashion designs. Designer Yoon Choon Ho stated on September 5th that the actress had claimed one of his own designs as being her proprietary artwork on the Chinese competitive reality show “Goddess’ Fashion 2”, and she in return released an official statement saying that Yoon Choon Ho was simply trying to gain fame by using her for self-promotion.
More claims of plagiarism have arisen shortly afterwards. The designer from MBC’s 2006 drama “Goong” stated on September 5th that the shoe design claimed to be Yoon Eun Hye’s was actually their own design. On September 8th, Chinese netizens then posted pictures of dress designs by Yoon Eun Hye, which she had claimed as her own on “Goddess’ Fashion”.
Vice President of the Council of Fashion Designers of Korea (CFDK) has released a statement regarding the issue involving Yoon Choon Ho by saying, "Taking a designer's work, which is the designer's property, is unacceptable... It appears to be plagiarism." Yoon Eun Hye’s representative then stated that Yoon Choon Ho’s social media post was an attack against them, and that they had never received anything from the designer’s ARCHE Fall/Winter collection.
