EXO and Red Velvet Endorse Sketchers in CF Teaser

K pop groups EXO and Red Velvet are the latest stars to endorse the shoe brand Sckechers in their newest commercial campaign. The 2 groups of SM Entertainment worked together to present 'Sweet Monster', which is assumed to be 'Skechers' new product for the upcoming spring season. Skechers is an American lifestyle and performance footwear company for men, women and children. Headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California, the brand was founded in 1992. Now the second largest athletic footwear brand in the United States, Skechers earned more than $3 billion in revenues during the 2015 fiscal year. EXO is a South Korean-Chinese boy group based in Seoul. Formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011, the group debuted in 2012 with twelve members separated into two subgroups, Exo-K and Exo-M, performing music in Korean and Mandarin respectively. Exo's first album XOXO (2013), which contained the breakthrough hit "Growl", was a critical and commercial success, winning both Disk Daesang at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and Album of the Year at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards. It sold over one million copies, making Exo the best-selling Korean artist in twelve years. Subsequent albums and EPs continued with strong sales, and Exo were ranked the most influential celebrity by Forbes Korea for the year 2014 and 2015. They have been named "the biggest boyband in the world" by media outlets, saying that "EXO are at the forefront of pop domination, with knife-point choreography seamlessly gelled to songs crafted by some of the world’s most gifted writers and producers, honed by their myriad of personalities and talents."
Red Velvet is a South Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment. The group debuted on August 1, 2014, with their digital single "Happiness". The group is composed of five members: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri (who joined later).
Since their debut, Red Velvet has experienced notable success and recognition. Their first EP, Ice Cream Cake which was released in March 2015, topped the Gaon Album Chart on the 12th week of 2015 and in September 2015, the group's first full-length album, The Red, also topped the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart. Red Velvet has received a total of thirteen music awards, including two awards for choreography; Best Dance – Female and Best Dance Performance – Female Group, as well as three new artist awards.
Red Velvet members have also made television appearances; Irene as a host of Music Bank, Yeri as a host of Show! Music Core, and Joy on the fourth season of variety show We Got Married.
