Hwang Jung Eum Receives 4 Awards at 2015 MBC Drama Awards

On December 30 broadcast of “2015 MBC Drama Awards,” Hwang Jung Eum swept four awards: Best Actress Award for Mini Series, 10 Stars Award, Most Popular Award, and Best Actress Voted by Producers.
Hwang Jung Eum is a South Korean actor. Hwang Jung-eum debuted with K-pop girl group Sugar in 2001 as a lead vocalist, but left the group in 2004 to pursue a solo career. Hwang appeared as one of the recurring guests of the variety show Love Letter from 2004 to 2006, in which her onscreen pairing with Kim Jong-min became popular. She officially made her acting debut in the television drama The Person I Love in 2007.
Hwang Jung Eum commented, “I’ll never forget working on ‘Kill Me, Heal Me.’ I can’t go on as an actor if I don’t understand the script. But the director patiently spent over an hour helping me understand.” She also expressed her gratitude to her crew members from “She Was Pretty,” her agency, her parents, and staff members.
She was also nominated for the Grand Prize. Hwang Jung Eum added, “Of course, I want to receive the Grand Prize. But I personally saw how hard Ji Sung worked on ‘Kill Me, Heal Me.’ I’d be happy to see him win the Grand Prize.”
