Hyundai Donates W500 Million to Ferry Disaster Victims

The latest conglomerate to donate towards the victims of the ferry Sewol, which capsized killing nearly 300 on April 16th, is the Hyundai Group. Hyundai has donated W500 million or about $490,000 US to the Community Chest of Korea. The funds will be used towards supporting the victims of the ferry disaster and build up the national safety infrastructure.
Hyundai Group chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun said, "We hope that our donation will help the families of the victims heal their wounds and rise again, and bring a little comfort to the families of victims who are still missing."
