There has been much speculation about a now-deleted Instagram post from G-Dragon that netizens have stated has a lot of cues inspired by drug use. There has been a lot of buzz regarding the picture, due to it's wording and imagery.
The picture shows the word "Molly" spelled out inside a heart that is made out of a white, flaky material. There is a party drug that is nicknamed "Molly" that has been on the rise currently, a drug that contains MDMA which is a primary ingredient in the drug Ecstasy. More than a few netizens are wondering if this is the artist's way of showing his support for the culture.
Even though a few loyal G-Dragon fans have stated that the idol possibly did not know what the word "Molly" referred to, more than a few others have pointed out his history of references to drug usage. G-Dragon shared the below picture with the caption, "Popped a M*l*y and now we're sweatin' whoo!", which is a line from the song "All Gold Everything" by Trinidad James.
Additionally, G-Dragon apparently made references to the drug in his 2013 post below, as well as in his collab track "Dirty Vibe", teaming up with 2NE1's CL, Diplo, and Skrillex with the caption, "I don't pop molly, I rock microphones."
G-Dragon had gotten into some uncomfortable positions with his marijuana controversy that occurred back in 2011, and netizens have stated that perhaps the idol should show some caution when using references to drugs.
