Actor Joo Won is stating that he is intending to use his upcoming fan meeting on October 4th as an opportunity to donate to a spastic cerebral palsy patient and surgery patient.
The fan meeting will be taking place in the Dongdaemun District at Kyunghee University. The fan meeting itself is going to be free of charge for fans, but they will need to select an option to either donate for one of two patients who are being treated at the Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital.
The first patient is a 17 year old named Kim Young Soo, who suffers from spastic cerebral palsy. The other patient is a young teenager who is undergoing vascular surgery as well as neurosurgery, and the donations will be going to his multicultural family in order to help them in this difficult time, as well as helping to pay for his treatment.
Sim Entertainment commented, "Joo Won and his fans' [relationship] has a special meaning; this isn't just a one-time, long event, but Joo Won will also have good, meaningful events annually." The agency continued on to say, "As Joo Won hasn't seen his fans in a long time, he's preparing and waiting passionately for his fan meeting more than anyone else."
In other news, Joo Won will be making his return to the big and small screens with KBS 2TV's "Cantabile Tomorrow" which airs on October 13th, and the movie "Fashion King" which will be hitting theaters in November.
