The dispute of payment between two construction companies continues, as Toscana Hotel is once again thrust into the public eye due to media outlets reporting that the police had begun to investigate the case.

In the official statement released by Toscana Hotel, the business entity denies their financial obligations to the construction companies, and are currently embroiled in a legal battle. Reporters have thrown Junsu's name and reputation into the mix for their articles, which associated the idol with the case and angering the idols' fans.

In the comments section for the reports, fans defended the idol by linking past articles that showed Junsu's responsibility for the issue was irrelevant and obsolete.

One commenter stated, "The article title is so sensational. It seems like they were trying to get more money since he is a Hallyu star. And since the refuting statement and evidence was released, the truth will come out soon...

As was reported previously, the hotel claimed that they had written promise notes (IOU's) to the companies that said, "I acknowledge that the promissory note is for the use of the bank or company's financial documentation and is not an actual amount to be reimbursed."

In the meantime, CJ Construction and Cheonji Construction have both been in charge of the construction for Junsu's Toscana hotel on Jeju Island, which began January 2012 to August 2014. The companies have since sued Junsu and the Toscana hotel for being unable to pay the construction costs.
