Another idol will be leaving us K-pop fans behind it seems, as today is the day that JYJ’s Yoochun will be enlisting for his mandatory military service and will not be seen for two years. Yoochun will serve as a public service officer for the military. He will enter the Choongnam Nonsan training center today in order to undergo a few weeks of initial training before he starts his two years of service.
Fans unfortunately won’t be getting much of a chance to see him since he won’t be holding a public event. C-JeS stated, "This will be a private event as we have respected the wishes of Yoochun, who wanted to enlist quietly."
The idol had a chance to say goodbye to his fans two days prior however. During JYJ’s annual Membership Week, Yoochun said, "Just living receiving love from all of you is a blessing. I hope that the day comes soon when all three of JYJ come together. I will go and come back well."
We hope that the days of JYJ come back soon!
