JYP Entertainment to make Reality Show For Upcoming Girl Group

JYP Entertainment is reportedly in discussions to be launching a new reality show for their upcoming K pop girl group. According to multiple broadcast insiders in an exclusive by MBN Star, JYP Entertainment has teamed up with Mnet to broadcast the competition between the agency trainees for a debut under JYP's first girl group in a while.
A JYP Entertainment rep told Newsen on the 12th, "It is true that we are in talks with Mnet for a program to form our upcoming girl group. But nothing has been set in detail... We have been preparing for a new girl group since last year, and they'll probably make their debut this year, but it is not confirmed yet." The survival show is reported to air in April.
JYP Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company founded by Park Jin-young based in Seoul, South Korea. The company operates a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company as well as a music publishing house. The record label is also one of the three big record labels in the K-pop industry, alongside S.M. Entertainment and YG Entertainment.
