Video sharing behemoth YouTube held their very first award show yesterday, on November 3, 2013. The YouTube Music Awards was made to give thanks and celebrate the hottest viral music from the entire world on YouTube. The website gave awards to artists, video creators, and YouTube celebrities for a total of six categories: Breakthrough of the Year, Response of the Year, Innovation of the Year, YouTube Phenomenon, Video of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
K-Pop stars were on the list of nominees, with Girls' Generation's 'I Got a Boy' music video being nominated for 'Video of the Year', and PSY's 'Gangnam Style' being nominated for 'YouTube Phenomenon'.
