Kang Ji Hwan Admits Guilt in Sexual Assault Case

Actor Kang Ji Hwan, who recently has been involved in a sexual assault case has releaed an official statement admitting his guilt in the case. The actor was accused of and charged with sexual assault against two women after a company dinner. According to the testimony of one of the witnesses, after the July 9th, dinner which includged agency employees and outsourced staff members, the two women (who were outsourced staff) returned with Kang Ji Hwan to his house in Gwangju, where they drank with each other. Later on the witness woke up and screamed after seeing Kang trying to sexually assault the other woman. Kang stopped after this. She also told police that she believes that she may have been assaulted as well as her clothes were in poor condition. The victims underwent testing for sexual assault which reportedly would take around a week for the results.
After news about this case broke Kang Ji Hwan has cancelled all activities. On July 15th (KST) the actor's legal representatives released the following statement:
"This is Kang Ji Hwan's law firm, HwaHyun. We are conveying Kang Ji Hwan's official statement.
'This is Kang Ji Hwan. I admit to all charges and I bow my head and sincerely apologize to the victims that I have hurt greatly with my irreparable wrongdoing. I want to also apologize to everyone that I have concerned because of this. I will accept punishment for my crimes and make atonement.
I apologize profusely.'"
