Kang Jung-ho Returns to Major League Baseball

Kang Jung-ho made his first Major League Baseball appearance in nearly two years on Friday in an away game against the Cincinnati Reds.

He played as a pinch hitter, going 1-for-1. On Saturday, he started as a third baseman and fifth in the lineup, hitting one hit in four at-bats.

Kang had missed nearly two seasons in the MLB as his visa was rejected following a suspended jail sentence for drunk driving in Korea in December 2016.

He finally got his visa in April this year but played in the minor league and underwent an operation on his left wrist in August.
