A shooting at Kia Motors' U.S. plant on Tuesday left one person injured, according to local news on Wednesday. Police in West Point, Georgia have arrested the suspect and an investigation is under way. The plant was immediately shut down after the shooting.

"Both the shooter and the injured victim are Americans," a Kia spokesman said. "We're baffled by this because we inspect all the bags and belongings of our employees before they enter the factory to prevent entry of firearms."  The victim is in stable condition after surgery.
