Kia's All New Sorento has earned the highest safety rating in the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's latest crash test program. Every year, the NHTSA rates new cars' safety on a scale of one to five stars, testing the impact of collisions on passengers and drivers.
The midsized SUV received five stars in its overall rating, while rivals Chevrolet Equinox and Ford Edge both earned four-star ratings. Released in August, the All New Sorento also garnered top ratings in all categories in safety tests conducted by the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in February.
