Kia is going to recall almost 420,000 Sorento SUVs in the U.S. and Canada over a fault in the automatic transmission. The automaker says the cars can be shifted out of park when the driver's foot is not on the brake, which could cause them to roll away.
According to documents filed by Kia with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects Sorentos built from 2011 through 2013. More than 377,000 vehicles are being recalled in the U.S. and 42,000 in Canada.
