Kim Hyun Joong's agency, Key East Entertainment, has just released their own official statement regarding the allegations that the actor/singer had assaulted his "girlfriend" at the time.

On August 23rd, Key East Entertainment made a public announcement of Kim Hyun Joong's side of what had happened, and denied that there were "repeated attacks" and multiple instances of assault. The official statement read, "After confirming [with Kim Hyun Joong], we found that it's true the two parties have known each other since 2012, but they didn't start dating until a few months ago... In the middle of their relationship, the two had an intense exchange of words. Though it's true that in their heightened emotional state things got physical, it's not true that there was continual physical assaults or that she's been battered and beaten over the past two months like what was reported."

In regards to the reports that the woman in question had suffered fractured ribs, Key East stated, "Their physical fight was a one time occurrence, and her fractured ribs didn't occur due to their recent argument. Her ribs were injured when they were playing around previously, and the next day, they met with acquaintances. As there didn't seem to be anything abnormal, her injury wasn't recognized."

The label made it crystal clear that the reports were very one-sided saying, "We're very disappointed about the one-sided reports from the accuser making headlines and that the truth is being exaggerated." Key East Entertainment also stated that Kim Hyun Joong is already complying willfully with police investigations in order to find the truth. The statement also mentioned that he will be continually fulfilling the pre-existing commitments on his schedule, and after clearing them out he will be fully focused on resolving the case with police.

The official statement took the agency an entire day to figure out the situation clearly before they addressed the initial allegations.  What do you think really happened?  Share your thoughts with us here at!
