Kim Yeon Woo and his current label Dio Music sued his previous label Mystic Entertainment over discrepancies from his 'King of Masked Singer' appearance. According to his previous contract at Mystic, Kim Yeon Woo and the label would split music contents 40:60, and they would split the profits from other entertainment activities 70:30. Mystic Entertainment split profits that came from his songs from 'King of Masked Singer' 60:40 as they were considered profit from music sales. However, Dio Music argued that they should actually be split 70:30, as they were from his 'King of Masked Singer' appearance.
In the end, the court ruled in favor of Kim Yeon Woo and Dio Music and ordered Mystic Entertainment to pay Kim Yeon Woo 131,590,000 KRW (~120,000 USD).
