Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu Na was presented with commemorative medals in honor of her decorated career as a figure skater.  She is set to retire from competitive figure skating, amid a judging scandal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.  South Korea has officially filed a formal complaint to the Olympic Committee.

Kim wore a black suit and expressed her condolences to the families of victims of the Sewol that sank off the southwest coast on April 16. She postponed the launch event twice in consideration of the victims and their families.

There are four kinds of medals featuring Kim's portrait and pre-orders can be made until Friday via Kookmin Bank.  Some of the proceeds will be donated to help families of the ferry victims.
