Haena, who was formerly a member of talented girl group Kiss&Cry was eliminated from the show on the first live airing of Mnet's "Superstar K6" even with rave reviews from the judges panel.

Haena, who made it into the Top 11 group, gave her performance on stage during the season's first live broadcast on October 10th. She impressed the judges with her ability to sing while dancing along to a latin-dance cover of Park Sung Shin's "Just Once More".

Yoon Jong Shin commented, "Like a former girl group member, you sing well while moving. Honestly, it's not easy for an amateur to dance and sing at the same time for their first stage. You sang accurately in tune as well. If there is one thing that was lacking, then it may be that you sang the song a bit too stiffly to not make a mistake. But it was supposed to be a groovy song." Baek Ji Young, Lee Seung Chul, and Kim Bum Soo all gave praises on her singing abilities and that she has the potential to be a very serious threat to the other competitors on the show.

Even with all of the positive reviews and feedback from the judges, the lack of votes sent in via text ended up getting her eliminated from the show along with Foxstar.

After the episode aired, netizens all stated their disappointment in the show, saying that a great contestant that gave a solid performance being eliminated so quickly due to a flawed scoring system is unfair. The viewers began to wonder if text votes were weighed too heavily.

As was mentioned previously, Haena stated that Kiss&Cry has been disbanded, which ultimately convinced her to join the show. Kiss&Cry's fancafe on the other hand, have revealed that the group has not completely disbanded yet since they are currently working on some internal issues, and that Haena had gone to audition for the show due to her contract expiring.
