Korea wrapped up its sailing competitions in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon on Wednesday after grabbing four gold, one silver and one bronze. This is the country's best result at the Asian Games since it secured six gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the 2002 Asian Games in Busan.
Korea also won seven medals -- two gold and five silver -- in rowing, and three medals -- one gold, one silver and one bronze -- in canoe at this year's Asiad. The sailing coaching staff attributed their success to their efforts to study the tidal current, wind and underwater geographic features of race venues.
"We studied the waters where each event was set to take place," said Kim Woo-hyun, a sailing coach.
