The business climate in Korea was ranked fifth in the world -- the highest ranking the country has ever achieved. Citing the World Bank's Doing Business report on Wednesday, the finance ministry said the country has been listed in the top 10 for the fourth straight year.
The rise was attributed to improvements in sectors related to start-ups, construction and minority shareholders' rights. Singapore took the top spot followed by New Zealand and Hong Kong. The World Bank has been analyzing the business environments of 189 countries every year since 2003.
