Korean American Sells His Company To Snapchat For A Whopping $200 Million

HOW MUCH DID HE SELL IT FOR!? Recently it was reported that a Korean American by the name of David Shim sold his company ‘Placed’ to Snap Inc. for an incredible price of a whopping $200 million US dollars. ‘Placed’ is a company in which it specializes on mobile advertising analysis, which is essentially a great incentive for the executives of Snap Inc. to acquire as it makes it more appealing for advertisers to advertise on Snapchat. ‘Placed’ allows potential individuals advertising on Snapchat to use data to analyze the specific location of mobile users.

The official price of the acquisition between Snap Inc. and ‘Placed’ has not been released to the public, however tech companies like GeekWire estimated the acquisition to approximately $200 million US dollars, while other firms placing the value to approximately $125 million US dollars.
