Lee Mi-hyang, who debuted on the U.S. LPGA Tour last year, claimed her first LPGA title after a fierce three-way playoff that lasted for five holes. Lee shot four birdies and one bogey in the final third round of the Mizuno Classic in Mie Prefecture, Japan on Sunday to finish 11-under 205, tying with fellow Korean Lee Il-hee and Kotono Kozuma of Japan.
All three players shot par in the first, second and fourth playoff holes and birdied the third. Lee birdied the fifth playoff hole to end the thrilling match. "I'm so happy because I got this win in the prime of my career," Lee said. "My dream is to make the Hall of Fame." Lee started playing golf at the age of four thanks to her golf fanatic father.
