Korean Golfer Lee Mi Rim Wins Reignwood LPGA Classic

Rookie golfer Lee Mi-rim won her second title of the season by edging out world No. 1 Stacy Lewis in the Reignwood LPGA Classic in Beijing.  Rookie golfer Lee Mi-rim won her second title of the season by edging out world No. 1 Stacy Lewis in the Reignwood LPGA Classic in Beijing on Sunday. 



Lee's first victory came in the Meijer LPGA Classic in August when she beat Park In-bee in a sudden-death playoff.  In the final fourth round, Lee shot 4-under with five birdies and one bogey to finish the competition with 15-under 277. Caroline Hedwall of Sweden, who was an overnight leader with Lewis, finished two strokes behind Lee in second. Park and Kang Hae-ji tied for third with 12-under, and Lewis finished in sixth place with 11-under. 

"I've had many ups and downs this year, and this win makes up for all of that," Lee said.  Lee is currently in second place in the race for this season's Rolex Rookie of the Year award with 750 points, behind teenage sensation Lydia Ko with 1,306 points.  Lee's first victory came in the Meijer LPGA Classic in August when she beat Park In-bee in a sudden-death playoff.
