In a recent interview with ‘TV Report’, solo artist Lee Hi opened up about a slew of topics ranging from dating, working with her label mates WINNER’s Song Mino and iKON’s Bobby, and how she felt having her comeback delayed for the past three years!

During the interview, Lee Hi honestly discussed her feelings on her much-awaited comeback. When asked if she felt resentful for being considered a “secondary” artist compared to her more established seniors, the talented songstress humbly responded, “I wasn’t resentful towards the label, however, I felt resentful and disappointed that I wasn’t able to do anything about my passion or energy [for music]. However, I’ve come to realize that [the wait’s] become an advantage for me. I think a lot of people’s expectations for me grew, so I don’t feel resentful after seeing the results.”

Lee Hi also discussed what it was like working with both iKON’s Bobby and WINNER’s Song Mino for her track ‘World Tour’. The singer shared the differences between working with the two talented artists, saying, “Bobby is a bit more dynamic and likes to rap with more of a rhythmic sense. He puts a melody line into his rap sometimes, and he even ad libs into the chorus of this song. He had added that part so suddenly, that it surprised me, but it was so natural to the point where I felt that I could sing now, so I enjoyed it. Song Mino is also really good at rapping. I was actually very surprised [at his skill].”

The husky-voiced siren even talked about what her CEO thinks about her dating. She shared, “Yesterday, after the WINNER concert, I met with [them] and Chief Yang Hyun Suk for a meal outing. He told me something that sounded like he wouldn’t do nothing if I were to date. I think I’m going to have to wait a bit more and see,” she finished with a laugh. Lee Hi further added, “I do have the desire to find a boyfriend. I also want to try new, different experiences. Tracks like ‘Some’ are heart-fluttering songs that I can’t exactly relate to yet. I want something like that to happen to me soon. There’s no celebrity that contacts me outside of work.”
