On the November 29th episode of 'K-pop Star 5', judges and spectators alike were pleasantly surprised during the show's preliminary rounds as an unexpected participant took the stage with Yoon Mirae's 'Goodbye Sadness, Hello Happiness'! The talented contestant turned out to be none other than Lee Hi's older sister Lee Hyu Rim.

During her time on stage, Lee Hyu Rim confessed, "Lee Hi was second place on season 1 and became a star. To be honest, I was envious. I couldn't help but to feel that way." The show proceeded to bring up a past interview of Lee Hi where she shared that she had started music due to her sister's influence. Although Lee Hi meant for her confession to be a compliment towards her older sister, Lee Hyu Rim couldn't help but feel that it burdened her.

She shared, "I felt the pressure to do really well [on 'K-pop Star 5']. If I don't gather the courage to pursue my dream now, I think it'll continue to bother me. In the end, I decided to gain the courage [to audition]."

Despite Park Jin Young's critique that Lee Hyu Rim lacked something special, she was able to move onto the next round after receiving passes from Papa YG and Yoo Hee Yeol! Are you excited to see more from Lee Hyu Rim? Check out her audition below, here on Koogle TV!
