Lee Seung Gi was given the proud task of representing his nation as he sang the national anthem at an official Memorial Day ceremony, and he did not disappoint! The ceremony had over 10,000 attendees, which included some very big names like president Park Geun Hye, as well as many other political figures and veterans. The ceremony was held on June 6th at the Seoul National Cemetery, honoring the nation’s fallen soldiers who dutifully served their country.

Once the actor was done singing the national anthem, his performance was followed up by actor Lee Seo Jin reading the poem “Rose of Sharon” for the late soldiers, and Gummy stepped forward to perform “We Remember Them”, aided by a talented children’s choir group. This event was a treat for Lee Seung Gi fans, as they haven’t seen him for some time since he began his mandatory military service on February 1st of this year. The actor will have fully served his term by October 31st 2017.
